It's almost gift giving time! As the holidays approach, are you ready to give the best wrapped gifts? Whether it's a beautiful package with wrapping paper and a bow, or a wonderful gift bag that does the trick, use your 4D or 3D Software to create your very own gift tags!

Use 4D or 3D Fabric Decorator to create the 'background' fabric look, then take your completed 'gift tag' into 4D or 3D Embroidery and add a 'To' and 'From'.

4D Fabric Decorator, included in the 4D Professional package, has been updated to include the motifs found on the Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond – including the J1 Vintage and X1 Specialty menu!

For the pictured example, 4D Fabric Decorator was used. The motif is from the X1 Specialty menu, motif number 2 which is a candlewicking stitch. Next choose the hoop size you want to use and a Fabric Area Shape. (The Trapezium was used here.) Add a border to the design, then Copy the created design.

In 4D Embroidery Extra or 3D Embroidery Studio, Paste the design then use one of the included pre-digitized fonts (over 100 in 4D, over 75 in 3D) to add the 'To' and 'From'. A bow was added from the Shape tab found under Wreath 1 to tie everything together.

Tip: In 4D Embroidery Extra, use the Letter Properties to spread out the Line Spacing between the 'To' and the 'From' by choosing your text then clicking Apply. Once the text is on the screen, right click within the work area and the Letter Properties box opens. Under Line Formatting, change the Spacing then click OK to see the results. You can continue to make adjustments to the spacing until you go back to the Design tab. (In 3D Embroidery Studio you need to make the lettering in separate lines.)

Also remember 4D or 3D Fabric Decorator is a great place to make embroidered holiday ornaments. Stitch the shapes out on organza using the same thread in the needle and the bobbin for a beautiful gift for everyone.
