Did you know 4D Embroidery and 4D Embroidery Extra have 414 shapes to choose from? In 3D Embroidery Studio you have 396 shapes to choose. When you start to look at the shapes don't look at them as a border, corner or a buttonhole, look at the elements and how they can be used. A fun embroidery to work with is Corners1, row 1, column 2. Change the size to 50 mm and Apply. Rotate by 315° so the corner now looks like a "V". (On the Design tab, use the rotation handle or on the Edit tab, Make Block from Visible Area Tip: The order you load or paste your designs into the "hoop" is the order they will stitch. Line up the designs in a logical order so your machine does not move around the hoop too drastically. Arrange copies of the design in a large hoop so that there are 3 designs in the top row, 2 designs in the middle row and 1 design in the bottom row – for a total of 6 designs. You now have a wonderful design that will look beautiful on a simple blouse or T-shirt. Tip: ColorSort With editing, the possibilities to create unique designs with shapes are almost endless. Let's take a buttonhole - Buttonholes1, row 5 column 3. Change the size to 75 mm and Apply. Go back to the Design tab and Center the design in the hoop. In 4D Embroidery Extra or 3D Studio, go to the Edit tab. For 4D Embroidery, copy the buttonhole then QuickLink to 4D Stitch Editor. Paste the buttonhole. Zoom in on the buttonhole. In Color Select, take the check away from the dark red color – only the pink is showing. Use the Polygon Select or Freehand Select to select the interior part of the buttonhole. Delete. Now isolate the dark red color by taking the check away from the pink. Select one of the dark red flowers. Tip: If you have any long jump stitches with the flower, click and drag a box around the long stitches and delete them to just work with the flower. Copy the flower. With the flower on the clipboard, go back either to the Design tab or QuickLink to 4D Embroidery. Now paste two flowers and move them to fill the center of the design. You're finished with the main design. It has a whole different use than the buttonhole. Combine and ColorSort. Make this design endless by using the endless function in 4D Embroidery. Have fun designing! Best wishes from Husqvarna Viking |
