Thank you for your feedback about how much you are enjoying your sewing and embroidery on your HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM! We continue to "listen" and are delighted to bring you this update software.

This update gives you new stitches, new zoom functions, new basting functions, possibility to update using the HUSQVARNA VIKING® USB Embroidery stick and more! Features include:

• Decorative Tapering Stitches – The brand new Z menu includes 44 decorative stitches that can be tapered. The stitch will begin and end with a taper type and angle of your choice.
• New stitches – Create fabulous embellishments with 20 new stitches on your DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM.
• 2D/3D View – Choose if you want to see the designs in 2D for a clearer view of the color blocks and faster loading or 3D with a more realistic view of the design with added shadow and depth.
• Zoom to box – Touch and drag a box with the stylus and the screen will show that specific area.
• Zoom to cursor – Use the zoom function in Design Positioning and the cursor will always be in the center.
• Select more than one color block – To change more than one color block at a time, touch the Add/Remove Selection icon and then touch the color blocks you want to change.
• On screen display of selected and non-selected color blocks – Color blocks that are not selected are shown as colored dots for easier view on what areas in the design will be changed.
• Baste in hoop – Choose if you want to baste around the design, around the hoop or both.
• List view – Choose if you want your files displayed as a list in alphabetic order or as thumbnail/icon view.
• Update - You will be able to update your machine with the USB stick in future updates.

As a registered user, you can download the update from our Smart Update system as follows.

• Connect your DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM to your computer and ensure the DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM tray icon is active (the icon on the bottom right of your computer screen is white). If the DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM communication icon is not active it may be started from 4D^TM Configure.
• Ensure that you have a working Internet connection and then go to 4D^TM Configure and click on Smart Update. You will then be offered the update.

How to update:

Please be aware that if you select "Restore to default factory embroidery disk" in "Advanced Options" of the update program all user data (designs and U-menu) will be lost during this update. A power failure during a software update might crash the user disk and a full software update would be needed after this. So, be advised to backup your important files before any software updates!

1. Turn off your DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM
2. Double click on the downloaded file to start the installation.
3. You may get an Open file – Security Warning. Click Run to continue.
4. The DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM software update program will start. Follow the instructions given on screen.
5. When the Update is complete your DESIGNER DIAMOND^TM will automatically restart.
