Welcome to the Husqvarna Viking embroidery software newsletter for November. You will notice a few changes in the layout this month, with new regular sections. Read the Icon Index to learn how to use an icon that appears in many places in your software. In the Module Minute we focus on the features of a specific module. We also give you Fun Facts and info on what's Next for SOS. We hope you like the new format!
As the holiday season approaches, the days pass by very quickly which means sewing and embroidery time pass by quickly too! Make a gift extra special by adding an embroidery, but where are all your holiday designs???

Within 3D Studio, 4D™ Embroidery Extra or 4D™ Embroidery use Find Designs to quickly locate what designs you have containing a word in either the Filename or the Notes section of your embroidery designs. |

1. Type the word ‘holiday’ next to Containing while keeping both Filename and Notes checked.
2. Search in your C:\4DEmbroidery\Samples folder and click Search.
3. Select a design, click Load and you are on your way. |
Find Designs is the quick and easy way to locate a design if you just can’t remember where you saved it or you are looking for a particular type of design – like holiday designs! |
The Find Designs icon is found in 4D™ Embroidery, 4D™ Embroidery Extra, 4D™ Vision, 4D™ Stitch Editor, 4D™ Design Aligner, 4D™ Sketch, 3D Studio, 3D Vision, 3D Stitch Editor and 3D Sketch. |

3D or 4D™ Organizer provides you with the ultimate place to get your embroidery designs organized! |
Offering 5 different tools to arrange your designs:
Arrange by Name
Arrange by Date
Arrange by Stitch Count
Arrange by Number of Colors or
Arrange by Longest Side
You will be the most organized embroiderer in town! |
However, the ultimate in organized embroidery designs is having folders for specific types of designs.
If you strive to make your embroidery designs easier to manage, create New Folders in your C:\4DEmbroidery\MyDesigns folder here in 3D or 4D™ Organizer. With the My Designs folder selected under Folder List on the left hand side, click File, New Folder then name that new folder with a name of a group of designs you currently have – example – Cats.
Alternatively you can select the MyDesigns folder and then right click to select New Folder. |
Use the Search function – similar to Find Designs, to then find all of your cats. Select them individually or Select All (Edit – Select All or Ctrl +A) and choose Edit – Move to Folder and choose your C:\4DEmbroidery\MyDesigns\Cats folder then click OK.
You are on your way to being more organized and maximizing your sewing, embroidering and embroidery creating time! |

| Did you know there is information for Hand Cross Stitchers found in our 3D or 4D™ Cross Stitcher Software? |
Open 3D or 4D™ Cross Stitcher. In 3D Cross Stitcher, choose Help along the top toolbar and then choose Help Topics. In 4D™ Cross Stitcher, click Help within the Cross Stitch Design Wizard (lower right hand corner of the box).
Choose Search then in the Type in the keyword to find box type ‘hand’. Click List Topics. Notice the option ‘Information for Hand Cross Stitchers.’ Select it and click Display. Here you will find what size Aida cloth you need compared to the ‘Cross Size’ in 3D or 4D™ Cross Stitcher. You will also learn more about Thread Count, Stitch Types and Color Combinations – all important information for a hand cross stitcher stepping into the world of embroidery cross stitch! |
