Would you like to organize your thread stash more easily on your computer? You can add personal Thread Ranges with the
Add New Range 
icon found in 5DTM Configure.
Icon Index
How big is your thread stash? In 5DTM Configure's Thread Manager, you can choose the Add New Range icon in the MyThreads screen,
and add as many additional personal Thread Ranges as you wish! Do you have multiple types of thread in your thread stash?
Do you need a custom Thread Range for a special project? Simply Click the Add New Range icon in Thread Manager.
Highlight the suggested title in the Name Of Thread box, type in a new name, and click OK.
You'll have a new, unfilled Thread Range!
Adding threads to your new range is as simple as choosing Show MyThreadRanges or Show All ThreadRanges on the left of the Thread Manager window, selecting a thread brand and type, and picking a color.
Transfer the selected thread with the Add to My Threads Icon 
,
and the selected thread will appear in your new, personal Thread Range!
No longer need one of your personal Thread Ranges? Select the Thread Range you wish to remove,
then click the Delete Range 
icon to permanently remove the unneeded list of threads.
Module Minute
Both 4DTM Design Creator and 5DTM Design Creator have many great features for fashioning new embroidery designs from your artwork!
With the ExpressDesign Wizard, you can create a design from simple clip art by selecting Create Express Embroidery.
Click through the Wizard's pages, choosing from options such as Viewing a Picture 
,
changing its Rotation, Cropping the Background, selecting the hoop or design size (or both),
setting coloration and threads, optimizing for that perfect fabric, and previewing your design before you finalize.
Once complete, you can select the embroidery, open its Area box to adjust its settings, and change your plain fill texture into any of over 250 different pattern fills, Motif Fills, Shape or Radial Fills, Spiral or QuiltStipple Fills, and Contour Fills or Satin Areas!
In 5DTM Design Creator, you can also choose from new Crosshatch Fills that have special settings for making free-standing lace!
Not sure if you like that pattern fill or texture? In 5DTM Design Creator, work right from the Create tab when you open the Area box, then click Apply to instantly update your stitches, without ever leaving the Area box, so you are quickly ready to implement additional changes to the pattern and texture in your embroidery!
Fun Facts to Know and Tell
Did you know you can draw decorative stitches right into your existing embroidery designs?
4DTM and 5DTM Sketch both have two different Control Panels, the Design tab for drawing free-motion style stitches,
and the Motif tab for instantly drawing decorative stitches using many Stitch Patterns from the various Categories!
Sketch software is great for embellishing that simple embroidery, or for creating crazy patch to finish your quilt block.
5DTM Sketch now has an Overview window with Pan function, plus a quick and easy Zooming toolbar!
