Do you love seeing your beautiful embroideries as they stitch? Do you get bogged down when trimming all the jump stitches?
If your embroidery machine has automatic jump stitch trim capability, why not let your machine do the trimming for you!
Simply add Trim Commands
in 5DTM or 4DTM Organizer to streamline your stitching.

Many embroidery machines can automatically trim the jump stitches as they embroider.
However, you must Add Trim Commands
to your embroideries so your machine knows where to cut the thread tails.
Inserting a Trim command is as easy as selecting your embroidery design using the 5DTM or 4DTM Organizer software module!

Simply open 5DTM or 4DTM Organizer from the QuickLink Toolbar
,
browse to the desired folder in the Folder List, and select one or more embroidery design thumbnails in the preview area.
Choose Add Trim Commands
from the Main Toolbar, and select the folder in which to save your finished design.
You can either overwrite the original designs or save in a different folder as new designs.

Click OK to automatically add trims to the jump stitches.
Remember to touch the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the preview to display the most current version of your embroidery!
Module Minute
5DTM or 4DTM Stitch Editor has advanced editing capabilities that help you fine-tune all your existing embroidery designs.
However, this module also has some fun tools for creating whimsical changes in your embroideries! In the Modify tab,
choose the Morphing tools and expand your world! Global Morphing
allows you
to change the entire embroidery in one of several creative styles, including Pinch, Ripple, Skew Horizontal or Skew Vertical, Spherize, Twirl, or Wave Horizontal or Vertical!

Once changed, your embroidery can be enhanced with two more great tools in the Modify tab!
Choose Density Advisor
in
the Modify Design toolbar
to automatically adjust dense stitch areas.
Very dense areas of stitches can cause problems such as thread breakage. Dense areas of stitches may occur during the Morphing process,
and will appear in the Density Advisor as shades of yellow, orange or red. Choose Light in the Reduce Denser Areas To option, and click OK.
The density will be adjusted automatically, removing extra stitches in the dense areas.
Once you have adjusted the design density, small stray stitches may remain.
Select Design Optimizer
in the Modify Design toolbar. Design Optimizer will remove those unnecessary short stitches,
improve the speed and quality of your embroidery design, and show a short message regarding the number of stitches removed.
Fun Facts to Know and Tell
Did you know you can fine-tune the placement of Trim Commands
using
5DTM or 4DTM Stitch Editor? If you aren’t sure where jump stitches will trim, or wish to add or remove trim commands,
simply open your design in this software module. Toggle the 3D View
to 2D,
use the quick Zoom bar
to zoom closely on the design, and adjust your view with the Pan function in the Overview Window.
The zoom bar is not available in 4DTM Stitch Editor.
Trim Commands
appear as a green circle with a T inside
.
You can insert a Trim Command
, or
Delete Commands
of all types,
from the Modify tab, Modify Stitch toolbar.
Be sure to save your edited designs with a new file name!
