In 4DTM Monogram Wizard
or 5DTM ExpressMonogram Wizard, you can
quickly and easily create a monogram using a template and pre-existing fonts.
You can even use QuickFonts 
to create your own custom fonts, then pick
them as part of your own unique monograms! Either 4DTM Monogram Wizard or
5DTM ExpressMonogram Wizard contains two styles: Monogram or Name.
The Monogram Style helps you create one, two or three letter monograms in a variety of Envelope Shapes. Choose from any mixture of Small or Full-Size lettering in every Monogram you design. Adjust the settings for Full Letter Options, then set additional style options for Small Letters, or choose ‘Use identical style for the small letters’ to achieve a sleek and uniform look. Add a Frame, Flourish, or automatic border to define your monogram. Or, simply leave the letter to stand alone in its own elegant font style and shape!
The Name Style assists you as you transform a name (or a special word or two) into a monogram format to personalize your projects. Begin by typing in a name. Choose whether to use an alternative first letter or have all lettering the same. Select a font, set the size, color and spacing, and you’re ready to decide whether you want a Frame, Flourish or Border. You can even set your Name monogram at an angle with stepped lettering!
For either style of Monogram, save a special MNG file so you can duplicate an existing style for many different names or initials, great for personalizing napkins for large gatherings!

Have you worked with the new Draw window in 5DTM Design Creator? 4DTM Design Creator‘s Picture tab, and 5DTM Design Creator’s Paint window, both use pixelated images that can be time-consuming to adjust. The editing tools require removing or replacing parts of the graphic image, and then painting in new areas of color. Accuracy requires a steady hand and frequent changes in the level of zoom for close-up work.
The Draw window in 5DTM Design Creator uses Vector graphics, which work with Nodes on a line to define areas within a graphic image. To create a Vector graphic with the ExpressDesign Wizard, choose Start a New Design with No Picture, and click Next to select the Draw Window. Select Next again to choose a hoop size, and Finish. You’re ready to begin designing artwork.
You may create graphic images in several ways. Use MiniPics 
for a special, pre-designed drawing, then resize to suit your hoop.
The edges of the MiniPics stay clean and smooth, optimal for creating embroidery with QuickFills or other stitches!
Shapes 
create closed-line shapes that may be filled, and have 50 pre-defined selections.
Or, use the FreeHand Draw 
and
Polygon Draw 
tools to
draw your own original designs.

instantly create embroidery. Alternatively, choose the Create tab and design on your own.
The choices are nearly infinite when using the Draw tab to create your own Vector graphic images.
Did you know that frames are now a part of 5D Embroidery? Frames now have their own tab in the Control Panel, and you can incorporate them into any design you make. They even snap to fit a selected design, automatically!
