WS005 I have downloaded a ZIP file. What do I do with it?

ZIP files contain files that have been compressed in size for faster download. ZIP files require a program such as WinZip to extract the file(s) onto your computer. If you have WinZip installed then take the following steps: (otherwise consult the guide for your unzipping program)

  1. Download and save the ZIP file into a temporary location on your hard drive.
  2. Either open WinZip, click "Open" and find the file you downloaded; or double-click on the file in Windows® Explorer.
  3. The contents of the file are displayed. Click "Extract".
  4. Select the folder you wish the files to unzip to in the "Extract to" box, such as "C:\4DEmbroidery\MyDesigns".
  5. Click "Extract" and the files will be placed in your folder.
  6. Close WinZip.
